Bananas on the Grill with Nutella

Bananas on the Grill

We grill at least 3 times a week. We make some awesome veggies, steaks, fish…we’ve made s’mores a few times, but I think that one of my favorite things to throw on the grill are bananas. This one of my very favorite treats and it’s so simple.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 7 minutes

Total Time: 12 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 Bananas
  • 1 T sugar
  • 1 T cinnamon
  • 2 T Nutella

Instructions

  1. We make these when we have already used the grill for dinner so the coals are still hot and red, but no longer a flame.
  2. -Without removing the peel, cut the bananas in half.
  3. -Sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on the sliced bananas and let sit for about 5 minutes.
  4. -Put on the grill face down for 2 minutes.
  5. Mmmm, it will already smell amazing.
  6. -Flip over and grill with peel side down for 5 minutes. The bananas will be bubbling around the peel.
  7. -On a small plate, spread about 1/2 T (or however much makes you happy) of Nutella in a line. Cut banana up into bite size pieces and put over the Nutella.
  8. Eat while it's still hot.
  9. It's delicious by itself. Here are a few other ideas -
  10. *melted caramel
  11. *ice cream
  12. *whip cream

Give me some ideas of what you’d like to see me put on the grill. With summer here I think I will try other fruits – so leave a comment below and I will give it a try.

  1. I’m one of the rare that don’t care for Nutella, but it looks delicious for those that do. Replace Nutella with rum and soy vanilla ice cream and we’re in business 😉 xx
