Going Ombré

Post by Gabi

Hello! Recently I went to Tiffiny Baker at Urban Hair Lounge to get an Ombré treatment on my hair. I’m 15, it’s summer time and I was need of a change. I decided that I was going to do red. What I didn’t know is that it was a extensive process. Here are the steps of how Going Ombré is done:
This is the before picture:

1- First, my hairdresser Tiffiny, bleached the ends. It wasn’t just bleaching though. To get the faded look you have to tease the hair. Which makes it look like this:

After the bleach sat in my hair for a bit, Tiffiny washed it out. The result of washing teased hair is the worst. Mats. Plenty of matted hair. And as Tiffiny said, “you will never see your hair like this again.”

Tiffiny spent a good 30-40 minutes combing my hair so she could do the next step.

After letting it sit for 30 minutes she washed it out. At first it was bright, but since then has dulled. I absolutely love it! I’m so happy with my new hair. Big thanks to Tiffiny for making it awesome!

As you can see it’s been a process.  But the color is perfect and I love my ombre hair!  Thank you agian to Tiffiny Baker of Urban Hair Lounge in Clermont, Florida.

    • It did come out great! It was a little expensive, but worth it if you want it done right. It took 3 hours and her hair had never been processed before, so it didn’t dry it out, however it is bleach and so that does normally tend to dry out hair. The hair is teased to give in the ombre look instead of more of a dip dye look – it makes it a gradual shade change rather than a straight line. 🙂 Thanks!
