X-Men: Apocalypse Post-Credits Scene

The excitement around X-Men: Apocalypse seems to be quite moderate compared to other recent releases notorious superheroes, and with only a few days of its release it gives the feeling that no one is talking about the movie or showing too many expectations.

Even though the online community is a bit indifferent, the big fan base will continue to support new X-Men releases.  It’s such a huge saga that even gaming sites have featured X-Men games on their platforms, such as X-Men online slots.

Maybe Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Captain America: Civil War left a large part of public exhausted, or perhaps the early reviews that were not too favorable contributed to this.

Yet the saga producer Simon Kinberg has come to give some interesting details perhaps intended to remind everyone that there is a new film about the pioneer and longest-running film superhero saga and that it’s also one which, as usual, sets the stage for everything that will come in the future.

X-Men: Apocalypse Post-Credits Scene

The post-credits scenes, that practically mandatory resource for films based on Marvel Comics, for some time have ceased to be simply a comic shtick (as a team of powerful superheroes eating shawarma in a depressing local) to become clues about the future of the franchise.

You might recall, for example, the post-credits scene from X-Men: Days of Future Past, in which Apocalypse was revealed:

In order to continue the tradition, X-Men: Apocalypse will include a scene after the credits that Simon Kinberg described as follows:

“It’s a nod toward potentially a lot of different movies. I mean certainly the Wolverine movie is related to what happens at the end of it, but there’s also another character that’s introduced, at least in name, in the tag and he could show up in any host of different X-Men films. Maybe a Gambit movie, maybe another X-Men movie.”

Who is this mysterious character going to be?

In addition to the third edition of Wolverine (presumably the last film by Hugh Jackman in the role), the future of the saga includes the X-Force movie, Gambit (with Channing Tatum as a leading actor) and the spin-off New Mutants, which has confirmed the introduction of mutants like Magik, Wolfsbane, Mirage, Cannonball and Warlock. Cable debut in Deadpool 2 is also expected.

Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

X-Men: Apocalypse is released next May 27th
