Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach

Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach disclosure

I grew up close enough to Daytona Beach that I have so many memories of visiting with family as a child as well as spending many days celebrating Spring Break through high school. Then during college, I spent an embarrassing amount of time with the MTV party crew. I cringe at what the rooms I stayed in looked like back then. To be honest, going to Daytona Beach as an adult has been less than exciting. And then out of nowhere the Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach comes along and wipes all the negative thoughts with their “rock n’ roll meets the beach” vibe.

A New Daytona

The Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach is about a 15-minute walk from the Daytona Beach Boardwalk. It is here where you can get the feel of the “older” Daytona with rides and a classic arcade – with Skee Ball and video game favorites. Racing fans can take advantage of the self-guided tour along the boardwalk with all of the automobile and motorcycle racing commemorative plaques. Much of the area has undergone renovations, but the Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach has upped the standards. In fact, during our 2-night, 3-day stay, we never left the hotel. When you read on you will see exactly why.

Panoramic ocean views, mid-century modern design, legendary amenities, and stylish luxury have put the Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach center stage as the destination’s newest beachfront hotel and the fourth Hard Rock Hotel in Florida. The new music-inspired property has introduced the global brand’s iconic vibe and energetic beat to a wide stretch of world-famous Atlantic shoreline, bringing along brand-exclusive amenities and offerings – all just over a mile from the iconic Daytona Beach Pier and the Ocean Center meeting, convention and event complex. The Vibe.

Valet

From the moment of arrival, the total rock star royalty with sand on your feet vibe sticks until departure.  The valet staff to servers are eager to meet guests needs, making our stay incredible. Touring the property we learned about the beach, bikes, and Nascar themed memorabilia. The hotel was once the location of The Desert Inn which was named TripAdvisor’s 3rd dirtiest hotels in the country. A far cry to what the hotel is today. The VIBE manager took their job seriously, and the aesthetics are eye candy. The artwork, the seating areas throughout the property including the music piped in by the pool (as well as in the pool) makes for the perfect Hard Rock Hotel experience. Also keeping with the vibe, the Rolling Stones and Beetles graced the walls in Florida beach photos. I think the scent blasted through the vents in the lobby was the perfect vibe smell. I asked about what it is they use, and when I find out I will share.

Rooms.

Let’s talk about the rooms. We were treated to a Rock Royalty®-level room featuring exclusive amenities like bathrobes and personal assistants. Also available are discounted or complimentary tickets to concerts, priority access for events. I loved the extra perks in our guest room, like Rock Spa® products: luxurious bath sheets, luffa sponge and rejuvenating bath salts. The upgrade for this level room gave me one complaint; now I will always want to have the Rock Royalty® experience.

Hotel Daytona

Each of the hotel’s guest rooms and suites radiates a contemporary style ranging from deluxe to Rock Royalty® options, including Hard Rock’s signature The Sound of Your Stay™ music amenity program allowing guests to set the mood with complimentary vinyl records or jam out on a Fender guitar in the privacy of their own room. Standard guest room amenities include a 50-inch HDTV, i-Home sound system, in-room mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, safe, and plush robe and slippers. All oceanfront rooms feature a private balcony, while city-view rooms boast floor-to-ceiling windows. In addition, all overnight guests receive free Wi-Fi, use of two beach chairs and umbrella, and complimentary self-parking.

While touring the Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach, we saw the various room types.  The main difference between the Deluxe Rooms and the Studio Suites is that the Deluxe Rooms have large windows in place of the balcony, but the amenities are still the same.

Architectural Photography Inc

Deluxe Rooms (350-490 square feet) – Feature single or connecting rooms, king or queen beds and VIP amenities, including Sleep-Like-A-Rock bedding and Rock Spa® bath products, as well as front row views of the city or ocean.

Architectural Photography Inc

Studio Suites (550-650 square feet) – With room for the band to spread out, feature private balcony or patio and extra sitting room, as well as plush bedding and Rock Spa® bath amenities. King room option sleeps three, while double queen rooms sleep five.

Living like a Rock Star

Sigh…look at this room! Rock Suite Platinum (750-790 square feet). With enough space for guests and some of their biggest fans, the suite offers rooms with one king bed or two queen bed options, generous living area and separate dining area, and oceanfront balcony to take in the scenery while the party winds down.

I am partial to the Rock Royalty suites after spending 3 days at the Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach. The velvet couch, the double-sided fireplace, huge bathroom with a vanity area as well as the comfortable bed, this is now my Daytona home away from home. The views with two sliding glass doors out to the patio have the pool and ocean calling for you from sun up to sun down. The sunrise is worth getting up for, and the coffee shop is open early enough to get a cup of joe and enjoy the view.

We all want to live like rock stars and if the suites just needed a little more oomph…well here you go. Rock Royalty (520-675 square feet) – With one king or two queen bed options, exclusive Rock Royalty suites deliver VIP experience complete with concierge services, restricted access beach privileges, nightly turndown, luxury amenities, use of a private outdoor lounge and other rock star perks.

Food and Drinks

Dining all-day is possible with exceptional cuisine at Sessions. We didn’t check out the Wave Terrace since it wasn’t open due to slow season. However, we grabbed coffee at Constant Grind several times a day. We even gave room service a try for a late afternoon snack to enjoy on the patio.

It’s all about the music

When asked if we wanted to have a Fender guitar and record player with some vinyl records, we couldn’t say no. And needless to say, Stan found his inner rock star.

Music drives us, feeds our spirit, and inspires our lives. That’s why Hard Rock Hotels offer The Sound of Your Stay® program, an exclusive audio experience that puts our guests up close and personal with the music. Whether you want to rock out or just tune in and listen, we’ll hook you up for free through our tracks.®, picks.®, and wax.® amenities. Every life has a soundtrack. What’s yours?

Download expertly curated music playlists to amplify your Hard Rock Hotel stay. Listen to songs from artists you know and love, experience upcoming musicians on the cutting edge, and see where the music will take you.

Ready for a jam session? Reserve your choice of one of our 20 Fender guitars, which come with Nixon headphones and a Fender Mustang floor amplifier, to create a pop-up studio right in your own guest room. Novice rockers can take advantage of the in-room video lessons or just start strumming and see what kind of tunes you can create.
