Vanilla French Toast

There are some secrets in creating great french toast.  I love making it with cinnamon bread or banana bread, they are both super yummy, but after seeing a recipe online for Irish Cream French Toast, I had to give it a try, but with vanilla creamer instead, and I added milk too, for I thought it would be too sweet otherwise.  I had a very happy family.  This came out delicious.  So delicious, it HAD to be a blog post.  🙂


I really think using a thicker bread makes it that much better!


Vanilla French Toast

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes

Yield: 6 slices of French Toast


  • 4 Eggs
  • 1/3 cup French Vanilla Coffee Creamer
  • 1/3 cup of milk
  • Challah (Egg) Bread
  • 3 T Butter
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • Syrup


  1. Slice bread in to thick slices, about 1″ thick.
  2. Heat griddle or frying pan over medium - low high heat.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, creamer and milk.
  4. Melt butter on griddle or pan.
  5. Dip bread in the egg/cream/milk mixture so the bread is wet all the way through.
  6. Fry each piece of bread on griddle until golden brown. Lower heat will prevent from browning too much before cooked all the way through.
  7. Sprinkle powdered and cinnamon on top.
  8. Top with syrup.
