Salty Sow – Phoenix #BloggersGo

Thank you to the Phoenix CVB and Salty Sow for making it possible for me to share this experience with you. All opinions are my own.

Salty Sow Phoenix

I am a bacon lover, sow lover if you will.  So when visiting Phoenix, I was probably abnormally excited to visit the Salty Sow with very high expectations.  I am happy to report they didn’t disappoint.

Salty Sow Phoenix

Arriving with some of my favorite ladies, the atmosphere of the restaurant was upbeat and the aroma from the open style kitchen instantly made my mouth water. The high wood block tables can easily accommodate large parties such as ours, yet the ranch style feel keeps it cozy and perfect for a night out.  It was easy to see before taking my first taste that tonight was going to be a treat.

Recommended by our waiter, I tried and loved the red blend, Fatto Mano.

Crispy Brussel Sprout Leaves

There are so many great food choices, but the Salty Sow hosted us and gave us a few of their key menu items to try.  Pictured above is the Crispy Brussel Sprout Leaves.  They are amazing and it’s easy to see why it’s very popular.

Candied Pork Belly collard greens, soy balsamic syrup

Knowing my love of sow, I HAD to try the Candied Pork Belly with collard greens in a soy balsamic syrup.  Wow!  Amazing!  Perfectly crispy on the outside and meaty (not chewy) in the middle, the pork belly was cooked to perfection.  The collard greens with the pork belly and the soy balsamic syrup was a perfect bite.  The flavor was delicious.

And then there’s dessert.

With the menu changing daily you can’t go wrong or get bored with the menu at Salty Sow. They have two locations, the one I visited in Phoenix and the other located in Austin, Texas.  I know my next visit to Phoenix will include a night out here for sure.

  1. I love that the menu changes daily, I’ve never been a restaurant like that. I am really awful about always ordering the same thing so I think this would be great for making me change things up 🙂
