I was raised in West Central Florida, a part of the country that football is part of life. I didn’t grow up in a home that football was a big deal. My dad being a Cuban refugee and my mom being a first generation American of Polish descent, they didn’t grow up with the love of the sport so didn’t have a favorite family football team. By the time I got to middle school, I started to realize, football wasn’t just a sport, it was a social event. And being the social girl that I am, I quickly learned to “love” football.
Now married to a football fan, and not necessarily a strong loyal fan to a team as much as a fan to the sport, you can count on game days often in our home. Whether just us or a small gathering, from the beginning until the end of the season, I know if there’s a football game on, it will be on our TV. This means I get to play in the kitchen and make some “Game Day” snacks. I make a fantastic spinach dip that tastes really great with Red Baron pizza. It’s like dipping it in ranch dressing, but better!
So for my perfect game day spinach dip, here’s what I like to do with my Red Baron pizza.
The Perfect Game Day Spinach Dip
- 8 oz mayonaise
- 8 oz sour cream
- 1 package chopped frozen spinach thawed and drained
- 1 package of ranch dressing mix
- Mix all ingredients together to make the perfect dip.
Don’t forget to finish it off with a yummy dessert. We have a pie loving family and Edwards offers a variety of flavors with Edward Reese’s Creme Pie being our family’s favorite!
What are some of your favorite Game Day foods?
