Ant-Man: Marvel Does it Again

Marvel has been on quite the hit streak. I mean, I didn’t grow up reading comics, so being somewhat of a new Fan Girl, I have now become one of those people that anticipates the next film. I will say though, with the chatter of Ant-Man possibly being the first to disappoint, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Since visiting the set and interviewing Paul Rudd, Judy Greer, and Director Peyton Reed, I was a little worried about the early talk. Well I can put the rumor to rest, for after screening it, I can say in full confidence that Ant-Man continues in that Marvel pool of fantastic films.

Ant-Man: Marvel Does it Again

First of all it’s REALLY funny. Paul Rudd brings magic to the film with his perfect comedic timing with some really great lines. If you found Chris Pratt funny in Guardians of the Galaxy, think that sorta humor. He’s very likable and with a really great storyline, including a relationship he’s working on with his daughter Cassie, played by Abby Ryder Fortson, it’s easy to like his character. But don’t worry, it still is full of the excitement you want and expect from a Marvel film.

Next, let’s talk Michael Douglas. I mean the man is a legend in the world of acting and in this role, he’s really funny as well, keeping the movie entertaining, and scenes with he and Paul are such a treat. Even after all these years, the man has still got it.

Evangeline Lilly not only is just gorgeous on the screen, but she’s another great example in the Marvel world of a strong woman. Something I love to see in films for it’s such a great message for young girls, as well as making this movie appealing to all ages and genders.

The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios’ “Ant-Man.” Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

Marvel’s “Ant-Man” stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, Corey Stoll as Darren Cross aka Yellowjacket, Bobby Cannavale as Paxton, Michael Peña as Luis, Tip “T.I.” Harris as Dave, Wood Harris as Gale, Judy Greer as Maggie, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, and Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym. Directed by Peyton Reed and produced by Kevin Feige, p.g.a., Marvel’s “Ant-Man” delivers a high-stakes, tension-filled adventure.
